HealthSmart Grocery Shopping with Peachy
Food shopping can be overwhelming sometimes and often may even feel like a chore. In that situation, I'd just be happy to just go to the nearest drive up window or quickly run in and out of the grocery store by rushing directly to the frozen food isle and stocking up on frozen dinners. I will help you get out of that predicament.
With a little planning and confidence building, I can help you overcome the negative uneasiness in food shopping.
This is a 4 part series, lasting 1.5 hours each session
Session 1- The participants meet with Peachy at the little peach house; Together, we will pre plan a simple menu for the week for all 3 meals, prepare a food shopping list and head on up to Trader Joe's, Kroger or Asian Grocery Store (CAM) As we move along the isles, ideas will spring up for more healthful recipes and snacks, etc. Your food thinking may be different than mine but you will slowly lean toward the Peachy way. We will shop and make good food choices while I coach you with the recipes and in food preparation.
Session 2- Meet at the little peach house. This time you have already pre planned your week's meals. Together, we will come up with other new-to-you recipes. Your flexibility and an open mind is quite necessary. We will again make the best food choices and discuss the recipes you will prepare for the week.
Session 3- Meet at Trader Joe's with your food list ready. Going down the isles, you will make your food selections. We go to the little peach house and together you and I (mostly you) will come up great tasting healthy recipes for the week. Peachy will give you cooking tips and additional simple recipes.
